Beyond Braidz CIC uses culturally significant creative practices as a gateway to unlock confidence, wellbeing, and real-life opportunities for young people and women. We turn heritage into skills, and skills into pathways, fostering a profound impact on individuals and the wider community.
During a wellness session, a reserved 15-year-old girl found her voice. Amidst discussions on hair identity and self-image, she felt safe and supported enough to share a deeply personal experience.
The session provided a non-judgmental space for her to learn, express herself and build confidence, highlighting the transformative power of our approach.
